Madhya Pradesh : Senior BJP leader from Madhya Pradesh and former member of parliament, Kailash Sarang passed away at a hospital in Mumbai on Saturday. The news of his demise came as a shock for the BJP, especially it’s Madhya Pradesh unit. Kailash Sarang had been unwell for a long time and had been admitted to a hospital about two months back. He was airlifted to Mumbai after undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bhopal.
His son Vishwas Sarang is medical education minister in Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s government. Kailash Sarang had also written a book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi titled ‘Narendra to Narendra’. The family says Sarang’s body will be brought back to Bhopal from Mumbai on Sunday where the last rites will be performed.
In a series of tweets on Saturday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “Our dear Babuji Kailash Sarang Ji, who was the guide of all our activists, who gave me affection, love and blessings like a father, passed away today. My heart is distressed and the mind is filled with pain. May God give his soul a place in his steps.”
“With the demise of honorable Kailash Sarang, we have lost a very important pillar of the Jana Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party. He personally guided me all the time. Due to his departure, the huge void created in the politics of Madhya Pradesh will never be filled. The revered Kailash Sarang Ji devoted his entire life to the upliftment of the Jana Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party and society,” CM Chouhan added.
