Bobby (Kangana Ranaut) is diagnosed with acute psychosis due to unfortunate brutal childhood trauma. She assaults a co-worker and shows signs of bad mental conditions. She is a dubbing artist for movies and delivers her voice to many female artists. She is obsessed by these female characters in her real life and tries to copy them. She dresses herself in these characters and keeps photographs on her home wall. She also aspires to be actor someday. All these odd behavioural tendencies create problem in her life. Her boyfriend Varun (Hussain Dalal) is unable to pull off and ends up doing petty things for her. Her life takes turn when Keshav and Rima (Rajkummar Rao and Amyra Dastur) come to live as her new tenants. Both are deep in love couple which draws Bobby to their love story. Suddenly, a murder breaks this momentum and both are entangled in the murder mystery. Bobby believes Keshav is the murderer. It creates suspense and the story moves on to the climax.
Kangana as Bobby is brilliant in her performance. She has played her character of psycho very well. Rajkumar Rao and Jimmy Sheirgill also played their part well. Hussain Dalal as her boyfriend keeps us smiling with his comic quotient quite effectively. Jimmy Sheirgill impresses in a different genre role which is a welcome move by him. Amrita Puri also impresses us in her own style.
Direction of Prakash Kovelamudi is very fast and good. The screen play loses grips sometimes, but his direction keeps us engaged in the story. The film keeps us engaged to know the real culprit and it enhances the suspense quotient. The mystery is interwoven very cleverly.
Fans of Kangana and Rao will like the movie. Suspense –thriller lovers will also love to watch the movie.
