Manisha Koirala feels that Kangana Ranaut or Alia Bhatt can play her role if a biopic is ever made on her life
Manisha Koirala, who was last seen in 2011 flick Mappillai, is back after five year long sabbatical with her movie Dear Maya.
Speaking about why she chose the film as her comeback vehicle, the actress said, “I had been looking to explore something new. The script had to be meaningful and different and when I met Sunaina, I knew that she is making a good film. The content of the film is strong, so I happily accepted it.”
Elaborating more about her character in the film she says that Maya is a strong character. “Maya is strong character but it’s a different kind of strength. To fall in love at that age and not losing hope is also a type of strength,” Manisha added.
Manisha Koirala has not only played some inspirational characters on screen but the actress has been an inspiration even in her real life after her successful battle with cancer. When asked if a biopic is made on her life someday, who does she think would be apt to play her character from Bollywood, she averred, “I think Kangana Ranaut or Alia Bhatt would be able to pull it off.”
Manisha Koirala will next be seen in the Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt playing the role of the actor’s late mother Nargis Dutt.
