Dhakad review:

A miserable saga

-by Shachi Chaturvedi

Directed by: Razneesh Ghai

Written by: Chintan Gandhi(story) Razneesh Ghai(screenplay) Rajiv G. Menon(screenplay)

Runtime: 2 hours 10 minutes

Cast: Kangana Ranaut {Agent Agni}, Arjun Rampal (Rudraveer), Sharib Hashmi and Divya Dutta {Rohini}

Rating:- 1 /5

Agent Agni, a highly trained and lethal field agent, is tasked with gathering intelligence and eliminating Rudraveer, an international people and weaponry trafficker who has been operating under the radar for ten years.

Story:

Even though the film contains an action-packed segment in which the agent Agni is depicted combating crooks. The film also depicts Agni’s early trauma, and it gradually reveals secrets as it progresses.

However, it lacks everything that makes a movie a success. There is nothing wrong with saying that this film is entirely about people killing each other. The film’s writer attempted to preserve the suspense factor but failed horribly in making it engaging.

Performance

Kangna, along with the rest of the actors, strove hard to provide a nice performance, but it didn’t matter due to the uninteresting plot.

Technical aspects

There wasn’t much in terms of technology, albeit the camera had a few issues in a few situations when we could see some unwanted pans.

The writing isn’t that interesting. We didn’t find anything interesting about this film. The songs were there to fill time and did not fit the narrative. The cinematography is good, and certain action sequences will send chills down your spine.

The film was predictable and had nothing worth viewing.

Overall, the picture never reaches the desired level of momentum. The film is, in fact, unwatchable.
