Siddhanth Kapoor released on bail in drug case

Mumbai: Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhanth Kapoor was booked by Bengaluru Police after he tested positive for consuming drugs at a party.

Acting on the tip-off, the police had raided the party and 35 people were detained, among whom 5 were found guilty. One of them was Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor.

However, Siddhanth Kapoor and four others, booked in a drug case, have been released on bail. But, on the condition that they will have to appear before the police as and when they are summoned.

As per reports, police officials claimed that they had seized seven MDMA tablets and a small amount of marijuana from a dustbin. Reportedly, the police personnel have collected the CCTV footage and are going through it as they suspect that they might have destroyed or disposed of the drugs.

For the unversed, Siddhanth Kapoor has acted in several Hindi films such as ‘Shootout at Wadala’, ‘Chehre’, Ugly’, etc. He has also worked as an assistant director in movies like, ‘ Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, ‘Chup Chup Ke’, ‘Dhol’, and ‘ Bhagam Bhag’.

To be noted, Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor was also probed by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the case of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput over alleged possession of drugs. However, nothing substantial was proved.
