Superstar Jeet shares that Chengiz was supposed to be a web series

Chengiz is a 2023 Indian Bengali-language period action thriller co-written and directed by Rajesh Ganguly based on Neeraj Pandey’s narrative. The film has received several accolades since its premiere. While discussing the film and the journey, superstar Jeet had an exclusive interview with Absolute India News.

While discussing the process, the actor said that the film was planned to be a web series. “The idea of the story and how it has been told. When Rajesh narrated it to me, it was a much lengthier story; it was for OTT. Then we discussed that we should make it into a film and not keep it for too long, and Rajesh converted that idea into a film. It is not a film that we have made, it is the dream that we have lived,” Jeet shared.

Later, while discussing the difficulties, the star shared, “When you are chasing a dream and aiming to reach a goal, nothing is difficult as long as you enjoy every bit of it, and to be honest, we enjoyed everything, from the filmmaking process to each other’s company. We fought, we loved, but everything for just one goal: only to make Chengiz happen”.

While discussing future aspirations, we asked Jeet what he was looking forward to, to which the actor responded, “If you ask me, we all live with the same desire and aspiration: that each day becomes better, and I’m trying to focus on that. As humans, we have insatiable desires. We desire something new every time we accomplish something.
