Foundation stone laid for mini smart city at Maihar in MP

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday laid the foundation stone of mini smart city in Maihar and announced that it would be made the most beautiful holy town of the country.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday laid the foundation stone of mini smart city in Maihar and announced that it would be made the most beautiful holy town of the country.

“Maihar would be developed as the best and most beautiful holy town of the country, Chouhan said while addressing a public meeting at Maihar stadium on the occasion of launching of mini smart city work plan.

Chouhan also inaugurated a Rs 270 crore work plan for making Maihar a mini smart city on the occasion. The work plan includes development of Maihar’s infrastructure, beautification, civic amenities and surrounding places of religious and tourism importance.

Chouhan further said that of the 103 announcements made by me in June last year 79 have been fulfilled and the remaining 24 would also be fulfilled soon. On the occasion, Chief Minister laid the foundation and dedicated works worth Rs 32 crore 15 lakh 39 thousand of Maihar.

MLA TRIPATHI OPPOSED: Meanwhile, a delegation of the BJP workers led by Kailash Sharma called on CM Chouhan and handed over a memorandum demanding that Maihar MLA Narayan Tripathi should not be repeated in the 2018 assembly election and that some fresh face should be fielded from BJP.

Narayan Tripathi while talking to Absolute India said that things like this are common in politics, Sharma might be having some issue and he has put up his view before the CM. The issue is not serious and need not to draw attention, he added.

BJP Maihar Mandal president Amit Rai said, “Sharma is associate of MLA Tripathi since long, they are together since long, both were in Samajwadi Party, when Tripathi joined Congress Sharma followed him and when Tripathi joined BJP he came with him in BJP. Sharma is angry with MLA over some issue and out of that he made a complaint with the CM.”
