As part of the precautionary measure, proper arrangement of fire extinguisher and fire brigade have been arranged in Jal-Mahotsava campus. Temporary fire sub-station has been set up for fire protection. Meanwhile, the movement of tourists has increased from the second day of Deepawali in Hanuwantia. There was huge crowd of tourists during the weekend at the spot.
Order has been issued for probe in the incident of fire in a tent occurred during the inauguration of Jal-Mahotsava. Notice has been served to Event Company concerned.
To ensure arrangements at Jal-Mahotsava and boat club, walkie-talkie and mobile phones have been availed to administrative officers deputed there, officers of tourism department and employees of the event company. This has coordinated smooth exchange of message and information. System has been laid to review daily activities, issue guidance and directives to staff concerned during Jal-Mahotsava.
Tourists and visitors of Jal-Mahotsava have been appealed that they should reach fearlessly on the booking date. Their safety and convenience will be fully taken care of.
The chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed ensuring of all the necessary arrangements for safety and convenience of tourists, an aftermath of the incident of fire in a tent. Secretary, Tourism, Hari Ranjan Rao issued instructions to concerned officers saying that there should be no shortcoming otherwise action will be taken against the concerned.
In the meeting, Managing Director of State Tourism Development Corporation Chhavi Bhardwaj, senior administrative officers and police officers of Khandwa district, officers of power distribution company, officers of Tourism Corporation and Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and director of the event company.
