Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewna Tha fails badly, Bank Chor survives over its third week and Tubelight grosses Rs 112.78 crores over ten days

Last weekend’s release Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewna Tha, Suneel Darshan’s comeback film as a director, made no impact for his son Shiv Darshan’s career as the film turned out to be disaster at the box-office. The film collected as less as Rs 13 lakh only in its first weekend at the box-office, needless to add that the film is a box-office disaster.
On the other hand, Tubelight completed its first week at Rs 105.96 crores. This probably is the lowest first week collection of Salman Khan starrer films in the last few years sending shock waves for the industry. In its second weekend, Tubelight collected Rs 6.82 crores with Friday being Rs 1.92 crores, Saturday Rs 2.18 crores and Sunday the film collected Rs 2.72 crores. The total of the film after ten days is Rs 112.78 crores. The film is set to lose lot of money for its distributors and exhibitors. However, with no competition this week, Tubelight is sure to gain and might improve its weekday figures.
Also, YRF’s Bank Chor completed its two weeks with Rs 5.93 crores, Raabta completed its three weeks run with Rs 22.62 crores and Behen Hogi Teri completed its three weeks run at Rs 1.95 crores and Bahubali-The Conclusion completed its nine weeks run with just over the Rs 50 crore mark.
The coming weekend will see the release of Sridevi starrer Mom and Guest Iin London apart from the latest offering from the Spiderman series, Spiderman-Homecoming.
