Raising slogans against China, the youths came out on streets and walked on the streets. They smashed hoardings, signboards and tore the banners. Claiming that they were members of ‘Jai Hind Rashtra Sangathan’, the youths said that China is causing troubles at the border and hence it needs to be taught a lesson.

The Sangathan members were carrying bats and lathis. They came out at around 9.30. First, they reached Vivo showroom and began hitting its signboard and gate. This shop hadn’t opened till then. Later, t hey broke another showroom’s signboard and hoarding.

When they targeted the third showroom, the locals informed police. The policemen arrived and urged the youths to stop the vandalism. However, they argued with policemen. After persuasion, the youths left.

However, they said that China was provoking India and was acting against the national interests of the country, still, the shop owners were selling China-made goods, which was hitting Indian economy.

They said that the boycott of Chinese goods and brands was the need of the hour and the protest was aimed to create this awareness and send message that traders should shun Chinese goods.

The organisation’s chief Rajesh Shirodkar said that China was instigating India by its acts at the border. “We will not tolerate China-made goods’ sale and advertising. The shop owners must desist from selling Chinese items”, he told media persons. The police said that they have not taken any action as no one has lodged an FIR in this regard as yet and once the complaint is obtained, due action would be taken.

Also, representatives of Dev Se Mahadev Welfare society have taken out a foot march from MIG police station to Patnipura and raised slogans against Chinese goods.
