Shilpa Shetty Kundra cleverly dodges questions referring to Raj Kundra

Mumbai: Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra is making her come back on the big screen after 14 years. She will be seen in the film Nikamma. The film also stars Shirley Setia and Abhimanyu Dassani in the pivotal roles.

The trailer of the film was launched today, May 17. The cast and makers of the film were present at the trailer launch event.

At the trailer launch event, actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra opened up about dealing with the rough phase in her life.
She said, “I think we are to celebrate a new beginning, not just for me but also for my director Sabbir and actors like Abhimanyu and Shirley who have worked hard. This is not about me or my life. If the question was pertinent to the film I would have answered.”

The actress further acknowledged how the last few years were tough for everyone because of the pandemic.

She said, “We all in our lives have gone through a difficult phase in the past two years.
The film industry in general, too. Because films have been ready, they’ve been in the can but not been able to see the light of the day. Since People could not come into theatres. But, this is a big moment for us.”

As the event commenced, Shilpa Shetty was asked a question in similar context. She was asked there was someone in her life who she loved and respected, but the latter turned out to be a nikamma [useless]. Also, how did she dealt with it?
Shilpa averred, “Thankfully there is no one(chuckles). I feel you have to live in the moment, think what is good for you and accordingly react. Whatever happens in life is for one’s good. Even is something bad happens, it happens for a reason.”

The actress also got emotional at the event after a sweet video message from her mom was played.
