Deepika Padukone chooses Indian wear for her last appearance at Cannes 2022

Deepika Padukone signed off from the Cannes Film Festival wearing an Indian outfit. For her final appearance at Cannes 2022, the star wore a fusion saree.

She had visited the festival as a member of the famous festival’s eight-person jury, which was in charge of awarding the top awards. ‘Triangle of Sadness’ movie by Ruben Östlund received the highest honour on May 28, the festival’s last day.

Deepika Padukone appeared in an off-white saree for a news briefing with other jury members Rebecca Hall and Jeff Nichols, among others, before the winner was announced. As she was welcomed to the event’s stage, she folded her hands in ‘namaste.’

The trail and dramatic pleated ruffles on the Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla creation. The matching blouse was composed of pearls and gems. Deepika accessorised with a statement pearl necklace from the same designer and Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas earrings. She wore little makeup and wore her hair in a tidy bun.

Deepika earned several accolades for her outfit from fans and industry colleagues after she published photos of it on Instagram, labelling them with a single white heart emoji. In the comments section, actress Neha Dhupia wrote “beautiful.”

Deepika’s next film will be Pathaan, in which she will co-star with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The Siddharth Anand picture is set to be released in February of next year. She will also appear opposite Amitabh Bachchan in the adaptation of the Hollywood classic The Intern. She also has Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter and Prabhas’ Project K.
