Jacqueline can travel abroad but on certain terms- ED

Mumbai: Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been under Enforcement Directorate’s scrutiny ever since her name popped up in Rs. 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Because of which her necessary documents are seized and she cannot travel abroad.

Recently, as IIFA award ceremony was earlier scheduled to be held on May 19 to May 21, the actress moved to Delhi High court to seek permission to travel. But unfortunately, the ceremony got postponed due to the sudden demise of the President of the UAE, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. After which she had withdrawn her plea.

However, the award function is now taking place at Yas Island on June 2 to 4, 2022.

As per the latest reports, Jacqueline has been granted permission by a Delhi court on Saturday to travel abroad and she will be flying to Dubai for IIFA. She has also sought the court’s permission to travel to Abu Dhabi, France and Nepal.

Reportedly certain conditions are imposed by the court to which, the actress has to adhere. Jacqueline has to submit a deposit of Rs 50 lakh as surety. The actress will also be required to provide details of the hotel she will be staying at, while she’s in Abu Dhabi. Not just that, details of her itinerary will also need to be submitted to the authorities. Once Jacqueline returns, the actress is expected to inform the investigating agency. 

For the unversed, recently, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had attached assets worth Rs 7.27 crore of Jacqueline in the money laundering case.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Jacqueline is looking forward to the release of the film ‘Ram Setu’ in which she will be seen with Akshay Kumar and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
She will also star in ‘Vikrant Rona’ and ‘Kick 2’.
